After training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, Nicola’s first professional role was playing the American companion Peri in Doctor Who opposite both Peter Davison and Colin Baker; a part she played for 3 years.

Other TV credits include Black Adder’s a Christmas Carol; Casualty; Cravings; Wild Seed; Animal Ark; Doctors; Holby City; the award winning comedy 10% ers, and 3 series of The Biz.

West End theatre includes Killing Jessica (Karen-lead) (Savoy) and the award winning productions of both Strive (Girl-lead) (Duke of York’s) and Rock ‘n’ Roll (Candida) (Duke of York’s).

Other theatre includes: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf (Honey), Twelfth Night (Olivia); Skin Deep and Come on Jeeves, (Chester Gateway) Secret Garden (Martha) (Leicester) Spring’s Awakening and Absurd Person Singular (Eva), (Vienna’s English Theatre); The Ride Down Mount Morgan (Leah) (Derby Playhouse) and touring in lead roles in So Long on Lonely Street; The Great Gatsby (Daisy Buchanan); Dinner With George; Home Truths; A Midsummer’s Night Dream (Hermia); and various Pantomime leads.

Acclaimed fringe productions include: Lost in Exile (Etcetera); Taboos (Hampstead) and Purple Politics (Greater London Tour) in which Nicola played twenty different characters ranging from Marilyn Monroe to Margaret Thatcher.

Film includes, Parting Shots; Stargazer; Summoned by Shadows; More than a Messiah; The Airzone Solution; Just Another Page; The Theory of Everything; The Telegram Boy; The Untold Story; The Wager.

Audio recordings include numerous works for Radio and Big Finish Productions, for whom she also directed episodes of Judge Dredd and Unit (with David Tennant). Nicola is also the voice behind many products on both Radio and Television. And last year she was "the voice of Sex" at the acclaimed exhibition "Seduced", at the Barbican.

Last year Nicola made appearances in the TV Series Love in Hyde Park, the sit-com My Family and the controversial drama documentary on the inquest into the death of Princess Diana, There are Dark Forces. She also toured the country for 6 months starring as Laura Baxter in a stage production of Don't Look Now with Peter Amory and Rula Lenska.

So far this year Nicola has continued in the Don't Look Now tour, filmed a commercial in Athens over the Easter period, filmed a documentary with award winning director Ben Briand (which took her to Blarney, Limerick, Killarney, Paris, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast), and recorded a series of eight 'lost stories' for the highly acclaimed Doctor Who audio range made by Big Finish.
